Our “Melbourne” bunch started with a conversation with the ever so gorgeous Lorinska Merrington from Netflix series “Yummy Mummies” during the start of lockdown stage four. The conversation began over a casual catch up zoom video with our Creative Director, Kellie Brown. The essence of this conversation was to come up with an idea to create a bunch so colourful and sparkly, just like a “unicorn” for our fellow Melburnians, so we could bring back that sparkle into everyone’s lives after undergoing strict lockdowns and restrictions since March. We thought there was no more “perfect” time than then to design this collaboration with Lorinska.
After several catch ups with Lorinska going through the design process, and sending real life bunches so Lorinska could see the design come to life, we decided not only would it be heartwarming and incredibly special to lighten our Melburnians live, but we discussed the idea of supporting a charity that is near and dear to Lorinksa’s heart and that is where donating to Very Special Kids came to play. Lorinksa has supported and worked alongside Very Special Kids previously and it is an organisation that we all felt was extremely important to play a part in. To know that we are not only lighting up our local communities, but we are all helping significantly with children with life-threatening conditions who need infinite amounts of love and support.
