Scholarship Offer 2019

Are you passionate about flowers? Do you see endless possibilities in every bloom? Do you have big aspirations for your future in the flower industry?

For us at Fig & Bloom, floristry isn’t just a business. It’s a labour of love and an irrepressible desire to create.

We would like to pass on the knowledge we’ve accumulated during our years in the industry with those who share our love for all things floral. That’s why we’ve decided to launch the Fig & Bloom Scholarship Program.

We’re offering this scholarship to one individual who shows a growing talent and boundless passion for creating beauty using flowers.

What does the scholarship include?

  • A four week training program, learning from and working alongside our experienced florists.
  • The costs of purchasing flowers at the wholesale flower market for use during the scholarship.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

The scholarship is open to anyone who loves working with flowers, particularly those who are currently studying in a creative discipline at a further education institution.

How do I apply?

There are two parts to the application:

  1. Create a video that shows us who you are, why you would love to be part of our training program, and what you will bring to it. It’s up to you how you show us!
  2. Submit a portfolio of your creative work. If you have examples of floral designs, send us those. If you don’t, then send us anything that shows off your unique creativity.

Terms and Conditions

  • The program runs from 5 August 2019 to 30 August 2019 and takes place at Fig & Bloom, Melbourne. If the chosen winner cannot attend on those dates, the prize will be awarded to another applicant.
  • Transport and accommodation are not included.
  • Applications for the 2019 scholarship must be submitted by 30 June 2019
  • Videos should be no more than 5 minutes long
  • The scholarship winner will be announced on 8 July 2019
